Terms & Conditions

1.1 These Terms and Conditions form part of the Language Education Center Pte. Ltd. – Student contract and establish the basis of a legal contract for educational services. For details on services, visit www.spanishschool.sg.

1.2 The Language Education Center Pte. Ltd. is part of the SIAL Group of Companies and is wholly owned by SIAL, a non-profit and non-governmental association limited by guarantee in Singapore.

2.1 The maximum number of students in a class is limited to 8.
2.2 Registration will be confirmed upon full payment of the fees at the counter or online.
2.3 Payments for courses can be made by cash, online payment, or cheque.
2.4 Course fees are strictly non-transferable.

3.1 Textbooks can be purchased online or before your first lesson.
3.2 Textbooks are non-refundable.
3.3 Books purchased online are not delivered to your home but will be provided at the first lesson.

4.1 Only registered students are accepted in class. Registration is complete when full fees are paid.

5.1 Classes are not held on public holidays.
5.2 Students can make up for a missed class by attending a similar class on a different day/time (subject to seat availability) or a private class at a cost of SGD 65 per hour.

6.1 Classes will start with a minimum of 4 registered students and a maximum of 8.
6.2 For classes with fewer than 4 students, options to join equivalent groups are offered. Cancellation is always the last option considered.
6.3 In case of cancellation, students can choose either a refund or deferment to the next session. GST and transaction fees are non-refundable.
6.4 Discounted course fees cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
6.5 Students are eligible for a refund only if the course is canceled by the Language Education Center Pte. Ltd.

7.1 By confirming the order, the teaching hours purchased by the student/company will be valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
7.2 Any unused hours remaining after the expiration period shall be forfeited and will not be refunded or credited.
7.3 The school will not be responsible for reminding the student of the expiration date of the teaching hours.

8.1 Our school offers a wide range of group courses (4-8 students per group) and private classes ranging from beginner level A1 to advanced and proficient levels (C1-C2), in accordance with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
8.2 Each linguistic level is divided into 3 modules (e.g., A1: module 1, module 2, module 3), each consisting of 12 lessons (24 hours total), to facilitate effective language learning.
8.3 All classes follow the communicative language teaching approach, emphasizing interaction in Spanish.

9.1 Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance (e.g., 9 lessons out of 12) to be eligible for a Certificate of Attendance awarded by the Language Education Center Pte. Ltd.
9.2 Certificates are issued upon request.

10.1 By reaching at least A1 level, students can test their Spanish language knowledge through the SIELE exam at our accredited venue.

11.1 The Language Education Center Pte. Ltd. reserves the right to amend, add, or remove any of the Terms and Conditions without prior notice.

12.1 When you register for a course, either online or in person, we collect personal information stored in our system.
12.2 LEC’s privacy policy ensures that we do not share, sell, lend, or lease your personal information to third parties outside the SIAL Group of Companies.
12.3 LEC reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time without notice.

13.1 The Language Education Center Pte. Ltd. is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property while on the premises or participating in activities organized by the center.
13.2 Students are advised to arrange their own insurance coverage for personal accidents, loss, or damage.

14.1 Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and orderly manner.
14.2 The Language Education Center Pte. Ltd. reserves the right to expel any student whose behavior is deemed inappropriate or disruptive without a refund.
